"Beyond museum and private collections, collecting things is an essential strategy of artistic practice. Be it making
an inventory of their own work, artistic conceptual collecting, finding and accumulating material or storing
as a necessity. This is often not just about physical things. The digital recording of a moment in image and sound is
just as much a part of this as a diary entry or the memory of a scar."

Harnessing the power of aquarelle and chinecollé, Prospects of a Toddler presents a suite of new images developed around
motifs of baby chickens. The presumed functionality of a chicken's life and death set a bleak point of consideration.
Hovering at the margins of this analogy, paintings softly situate the innocence and deformative pressures of social integration.
High school materiality and commercial vibrance are wielded within a palate of speakably nostalgic sublimation.

Exploitant les qualités de l’aquarelle et du chinecollé, Prospects of a Toddler présente une série de nouvelles images
développées autour du motif du poussin. La fonctionnalité présumée de la vie et de la mort d’un poulet donne un aspect
plus morose à la considération de ce sujet. En marge de l’analogie, les peintures évoquent doucereusement l’innocence
et les pressions déformantes de l’intégration sociale. Matérialité lycéenne et chatoyance commerciale sont ainsi maniées à
travers l’expression d’une sublimation nostalgique.

In book seven of his encyclopedia, Bartholomaeus called the trigger of parietal headache “choleric fumes”. I frequently walk into that caustic
mist like a capricious puppy. Binocular vision decays, while the pupils slowly warp and flimsy ornaments creep under the eyelids. Uncertain i
f the sulky stimulus comes from the in or the outside, I circulate among aromatic hues, passive-aggressive ceiling lights and undulating figures.
The Franciscan scholar suggested pouring lukewarm water over the head, hands and feet to let the fumes evaporate. Before, I welcome the
fuzzy phantoms through the dilated door.
